I’m trying to decide between the Alaskan xt and the Adapt+ which do you think is better??
Definitely Alaskan XT
Thanks for the review, subscribed. Love your Release, Onnex C, right? Have exactly that one in the Heavy/ Brass- Version and do love it. Think Joel Turner is right, the click was missing in other Thumb releases before.
That was by FAR one of if not the best bow review I personally have ever watched Answered a lot of the questions I had about it. Think I’m ready to upgrade and think this is the bow. Thanks Super review 👍
6/3/24 BACK IN STOCK!! We just received 10 Olive RH 70lb as well as a few other colors in 60lb and 70lb. Get 'em at www.betteroutdoors.net. The next restock is projected in late August 😱

Will you be getting more of these in ?
We hope! We do have Alaskan XT's and Paradigms back in stock. Everything is way backorder for us right now if it's not on our rack!
Have they picked a winner?
That thing is cooking @32” draw length
Great solid review, for a first bow what should i take Bear Archery Whitetail maxx or the paradigm? (not considering alaskan XT ) which is better is specs quality etc, which should i choose?
Thank you for your honest and thorough review.
Good results. Interesting variance between draw length. It is a bit more than I expected.
You can't tune a bow for someone else. You're better off teaching your customer to do it.
Are those rip tko?
These are the RIP SS
Bear is really putting more quality bows into the hands of more hunters. But i guess they always have.Fred would be tickled i bet.My apprentice wanted to get a first bow i suggested the paridiem as he has gorilla length draw.He seems pretty happy so far.Just changed that peep sight before he even shot it.
I subscribed. Man U make awesome content brother.
Bought mine back in February of this year. Shooting 28.5" draw at 65#'s with 372gr arrow. Getting 266fps. Great bow for the price. Got rid of the stock peep and upgraded to a Trophy Ridge sync rest as well.
Wouldn't the draw lengths you measured make this bow a true 24" - 31" bow?
Thank you Sir. Very helpful. Great option.
There is alot of used lift bows on ebay why?
If i am not mistaken my paradox hc was superseded by the Alaskan!! Correct?? also i love the trough in front of riser for your bow hand super comfy!! Legend series riser!!
I have a 30.75 inch draw and shoot 70-80 idk how it’s gonna feel for me I got a guy online who wants to trade me one I still shoot a Hoyt from 07
You charge to much 😊
Why r they priced so high they r mass produced and the average family Man can't afford it
I've had my Lift 33 for about 2-weeks now. I had been shooting the V3X 33. When I shot the Lift, it was much quieter, held better and was faster in the Chrono than the V3X. Wondering what your opinions are between these 2 bows? Thanks! And great overview!
I’ve got 2 resurgence ld bows 1 for hunting and 1 set up for 3D and personally I like the single cams better. They’ve both tuned easy for me. I know they won’t be as fast as the new hybrid cams but I’m ok with the trade off. I do wished they were about 34 ata though
They finally took a step toward bring back the the 2016 BR 33, they just skimped on a few things like the hinge cable guard, gordon glass limbs, and a 7" brace and 335 IBO , everything else is almost the same.
This is a bow I’m very interested in because of the draw length
I absolutely love these videos
Great in-depth review. Thanks for all of the honest feedback. I’m leaning really heavily toward this bow or the Whitetail Maxx as a replacement for my current bow (original Jennings Buckmaster). I just can’t bring myself to pay the price for the flagship bows, so one of these two new Bear models might be just the thing for me. It will undoubtedly be leaps and bounds better than my current bow. 😁
Get a front and back bar on it and I'd argue it holds as well on target as my TRX 38
Good afternoon sir I'd like to ask fora a advice Out of those bows listed (concerning my 650-800 dollar budget): Bear Archery Whitetail MAXX RTH version Bear Archery Paradigm RTH version Bear Archery Adapt RTH version Archery Legend XR RTH version (2023) Bear Archery Prowess RTH version Bear Archery Legit 2023 RTH version Bear Archery Species EV 2023 RTH version What would you recommend for a first bow(for a 16 years old teenager) concerning quality specifications , accessories etc ? As I have saved more money than I have thought I am looking more for Whitetail, Paradigm , Adapt , Legend XR than the rest as they are higher in quality etc. ( the point is that for my first bow I'd like to choose something more reliable, solid and well made etc) Thank you very much , God bless you
I would go Alaskan XT if you're 30in draw length or shorter
@@BetterOutdoorsarchery Unfortunately Alaskan or Alaskan XT are not available (in my online store , I don't live in America that's the problem ) in RTH version however they are available with no accessories and I don't know my way around accessories
Paradigm follow up video ? Tall dudes hanging for that one 🤠
My draw length is 31" , so would this still be a comfortable fit for me??
I would not suggest it. You will be best served with a Paradigm
@@BetterOutdoorsarchery Duly noted , thanks for the feedback!👍
was the let-off 80 or 85?
This was on 85% mod
Love This, Great job.... Ordering one for the wife.....
My lift 29.5 has 60# 85% 30” mods on it, and when I got it set up it was at about 62.5 lbs so I backed out the top and bottom limb bolt about 3/4 of a turn and it was right at 60lb draw weight, after 250 shots my bow was reading 58lbs I bottomed the limb bolts back down and am getting 59.8lbs is it normal to lose 2 lbs of draw weight during break in ? Also the only complaint I have about the lift is the match string end loops not being served, it seems to make it more difficult to adjust for peep twist or timing adjustments. Otherwise it seems to be an amazing bow, I also have a Hoyt Alpha X 30 as well and it’s going to be hard to decide which one to take to the stand this fall.
Yes it’s because the string stretched a little bit that’s normal
I measured the sound level of this bow, and it came in at 76 dB, and I used a real decibel meter AND an app on my phone. That vibration you feel comes from the 4 string grubs. Replace those with brass speed nocks and shrink tubing and a couple of cat whisker string dampeners, and it feels and sounds amazing. Oh yeah, those string grubs makes the bow 4 dB louder than how I made my Alaskan XT quieter.
'Promo SM'
Any advice on 3rd axis adjustment I have the fixed pin bridge lok sight and I own the hamskea 3rd axis tool but can't find a flat spot that it will fit on my 29.5🤔
I have the same sight just got my 3rd and 2nd axis level yesterday that sight is awesome
thanks for this video! what would your opinion be on upgrading from a bowtech assassin, between the phase 4 29 vs the lift 29.5? this will be my 3rd year hunting whitetail.
I think you'll enjoy the Lift more being it is more similar in mass weight to your Assassin. Either bow you won't go wrong with though!
Stop using those big ass thick string loops. All that so call string twist will disappear. That or use Gas strings, some other custom strings and loose your Matthews warranty. I use the thinner loops and do over under on them. It stops the sring twist ect...
Having had my Lift 33 since January, I've had time to spend behind it and work on it. I have not seen it not make its advertised speed with hunting weight arrows, and the draw lengths on the new mods are much, much, much closer than previous mods. Compared to my V3X33, the Lift is 3 fps faster pulling 2lbs less draw weight and drawing a 1/2" shorter draw length. At 28.5" (about 1/8" long), pulling 74.9lbs, it is shooting a 467 grain arrow at 291fps with 20gr on the string. Put those numbers into the IBO calculator of your choice, and it is hitting its numbers. I find the draw better than the previous cams, and the valley is excellent, not to long or to short, but keeping you in your shot and dynamic. I haven't kept a Mathews bow since the Vertix, and still own other brands and models that are also excellent offerings, but the Lift is easily the best bow of '24 in my opinion after shooting most all of them, and is easily the best bow Mathews has released in many, many years.
The speed has been pretty wicked at every draw length we've set them up on. Glad you're loving it!
I’ve had my Lift 33 for about 3 months. I’ve got it set up for 3d tournaments. Honestly it is the most accurate bow I’ve ever shot. It holds incredibly well. I can’t complain at all. Great review!
Thanks!!! That is what we are being told from our customers that have one too!!
Another well done review and video, I have really seen a big improvement over the years as you become more confident! Thanks for sharing with all of us.
We appreciate you following along on the journey!
Brand new shooter here. Owned my lift 33 for less than a week and probably 600+ arrows through it already. I love it. It’s fully decked out and went with a thumb button. Thought it would be a harder learning experience finding out how to shoot and get dialed in but day one I was able to get groups close enough to wrap both my hands around at 60yrds and arrows touching. (Been shooting 6 arrows at a time)
That's awesome and similar to what we are seeing from customers too!
Lol you sound just like the guys off truck tv that use to air on Sundays 😂😂😂 I can't stop laughing.
It was called TRUCKS… wasn’t it?! I remember! 😆
I watched that all the time growing up! Stacey David is the 🐐
@@dillonwalling yes it was called trucks😂
Great review. Is there any specs on the sight as micro adjustments or type of light?
Unfortunately no micro adjust and the sight light is lackluster to say the least.
Thanks.
Thanks Dalton, it’s a lot of time and effort to make these videos. Much appreciated. I’m breaking in my Lift 29.5. It’s shoots differently than the phase 4. I was worried that I wouldn’t like the Lift draw cycle, but it has been no issue so far. I like the lighter weight versus the P4, but I am noticing more pin float. Need to mess with the stabs maybe. I don’t think it is as quiet as the P4, but it is still very quiet. Seems faster than P4 but I haven’t chrono’d mine yet. Draw mod is noticeably shorter than P4. I shot 28” on P4 and 28.5” on Lift. No complaint thus far on the string, it’s noticeably better than the zebra, but I don’t have enough shots thru it yet to have a final opinion. Hamskea epsilon works great on it. I do not like the bridgelock slop with sight bars….when you screw it down the bar runs at a slope versus a level bow. This needs to be fixed. I’ve tried bars from Black Gold, HHA and Axcel and all have had some slop (Axcel has least). Overall, I’m glad I upgraded from P4. Both are excellent bows.
I haven't experienced that with our Bridgelock bows yet. The first run of the Phase 4 we did have issues with the threads of it but that hasn't happened since then. I've been pleased with the QC of the Lift over the Phase 4 thus far.
The ibo speed test is on 80lbs not 70lbs like it's supposed to my prime RVX 34 is faster and shoots better I will never buy a mathews ever again the last mathews that was any good was the VXR
FYI - Same exact strings. Different name. Just ordered new strings after 3 months and 4K arrows. Peep never stayed straight from the beginning. Mathews strings are sh*t.
My strings have held up fine with no peep rotation at all many many arrows through them no signs of wear at all no stretch
@@Getdownorlaydownbum how much do you shoot? I average about 3 dozen a day 7 days a week. Just over 4K arrows. Wish I didn’t have to buy new strings on a bow that’s 3 months old. I will say Mathews was awesome and shipped out another set. I’m going to use them as backups as I can’t do this every 3 months.
1k shots through my lift 29.5. Never been out of tune and the peep has yet to twist. 🤷♂️
Great video! 💯🦌
